The Welch 1397M-01 vacuum pump is a rugged and robust vacuum pump for applications requiring pressures < 1 Torr. The 1397B-01 achieves < 0.001 Torr with a pumping speed of 500 liters/min (17.7 CFM).
Two stage, oil sealed vacuum pumps should not be operated continuously at pressures above 1 Torr. Operating this vacuum pump at higher pressure will induce excessive oil spraying from the exhaust of the vacuum pump causing premature failure and void warranty. Please consult your Chemtech Scientific Representative for consultation, should the ultimate pressure of your process run above 1 Torr.
